Can't They Find Something More Important To Do?

While John Kerry hits the slopes and criss-crosses the country campaigning, one can't help wonder how much time is left over for actually performing his duties as Senator. (Of course, since his performances have largely been rubber-stampings of Bush Administration policies, maybe it's better he stays on vacation...)

Meanwhile, The Superbrain is on vacation, again, at his ranch in Texas. We've all heard that the September 11th attacks were preceded by the longest vacation in Presidential history. It didn't seem to faze him. Even when he's not on vacation, Bush has plenty of time to (try to) eat pretzels and watch Monday Night Football -- but no time for reading a newspaper.

Is it so much to ask of the President, during his four years in office, that he set aside the goofing off, and, you know, put some attention into his job? It's not as if there aren't any, ah, items needing attending to.

The jobless rate soars, the Iraqi occupation spins out of control, the pace of al-Qaeda attacks intensifies, global warming warnings mount, infrastructure crumbles...and the President snoozes in his hammock.

I picked up a week's work during my quarter break as I attempt to retrain for a fulltime job, which I haven't had in over two years. It's graveyard, and I'm a mess. I think about how I'm a failure, 34 years old tomorrow, supported by my wife, with health problems. I'm glad to know these two guys know where I'm coming from.

I hear you, I'm 40 years old april 4th and I'm un-employed, broke and living at home with my elderly mother while I go to school for my 2 year degree. Those two clowns have no idea where people like us are coming from

I regularly visited the old dack site and was surprised to
see this one. So well organized . It is comforting to see your point of view and that at least some people in the mighty US dont fall pray to the media frenzy and forget about ordinary people in the rest of the world.

The US society and culture thrives on violence and dominance. Cruel and aggressive to a fault, it is disgusting to see their double speak.
